Yes, school administrators are good at spending parent's money, too. Imagine getting a list of supplies for your high school freshman and discovering that you have to buy Susie a $900 laptop?  In Beverly Massachusetts, parents were just informed that they will have to buy their children $900 Apple MacBook computers, which cost twice as much as comparable computers that run Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems.  No reason was given why Apple computers were selected over less expensive competitive models.
