School districts across the United States are considering the suggestion that we ditch homework because there is no connection between achievement and homework.  The Anti-Homework movement is based largely on the work of Sara Bennet in her book "The Case Against Homework" where Bennet argues that homework is time wasted by students, parents and teachers. Is ditching homework like schools in Victorville, Claifornia the right idea?

I agree with Sara Bennet! Unless there is a special project, the busy work that is sent home is just a waste of time. Kids spend 7-8 hours in school, so when are they supposed to spend time with their families, and when are they supposed to get in that 1 hour of play and exercise that fitness people are always proposing? Teachers need to find a way to finish their lessons at school!
