In an effort to try to reduce obesity and health issues, five San Antonio elementary schools are installing a $2 million project that takes a picture of the kids lunch trays before and after.  Then a computer analyzes how many calories were eaten.  At the end of the article it says, "Mark Davis, the school's principal, said getting consent from parents hasn't been a problem. He suspects the small number of parents who withhold consent don't understand the project, perhaps thinking it limits what their child can eat at school."  I say it's a little controling, and expensive!!!! Why not just omitt the junk food from the lunch line?

Mark Davis, I have a message for you: Educate our kids and let the parents worry about the weight problem. Let them play tag, dodge ball, and jump rope so their bodies are moving. If they live within a mile from the school, let them walk to and from school, instead of entitling them with a bus. Have crossing guard parents assisting their safety home.

If you do this, the obesity problem be helped. If this was my daughters school, I would either sue to have the cameras removed, or home school.
