A bill before the Texas house of representatives would give college students and professors the right to pack heat. The reason? To discourage people from shooting college students.  Republican Gov. Rick Perry, who sometimes packs a pistol when he jogs, has said he's in favor of the idea.

Is allowing students to pack heat the solution to crazy, well armed people massacring college students or is this simply an invitation to more violence?
